ENG 294 - Irish Literature (3)


Prerequisite: ENG 103  with a grade of “C” or higher
varies

Lecture: Three hours of lecture/discussion per week.

A study of the influence of language, history, politics, and identity on the emergence of Irish Literature in the 20th and 21st centuries. This course examines the impact of contemporary political developments, the position of women, the representation of Irish peasantry, and the importance of religious outlooks and divisions in the literature of this nation.
