HUM 219 - Introduction to Culture (3)

Lecture: Three hours of lecture/discussion per week.

This course serves as an exploration of the nature of mankind, within a given society, primarily as reflected in the disciplines of philosophy, religious studies, history, literature, art, music and architecture. Particular attention is paid to individual and communal identities, to questions of values, and to the struggle for personal fulfillment. Emphasis is on students’ consideration and development of their own personal, moral, and ethical values. Attendance at outside events is required.
