An introduction to oil and/or acrylic painting, focusing on traditional painting methods, materials, and techniques. Emphasis is placed upon exploration of formal and technical concerns. Projects will explore a variety of subject matter while focusing on compositional principles, color relationships, the physical and expressive properties of paint, and the creative process.
