MAT 048 - Introductory Statistics Support 1

Prerequisite: Appropriate placement test score
Corequisite MAT 208 to be taken concurrently

Lab: 2 hours of lab per week.

Course is designed for students planning to enroll in MAT 208, Introductory Statistics but need additional support to be successful (as determined by placement or student choice). Course material includes remedial/prerequisite skills for statistics, college success skills, technology skills, and extended time on statistics topics. Topics covered include percents, decimals, order of operations, linear functions, data and sampling techniques, probability, distributions and hypothesis testing. Not transferable.
