MA 237 - MA Externship Seminar (1)

Prerequisite: MA 135 , and MA 140 with grades of “C” or higher and concurrent enrollment in MA 233

Lecture: 2 hours of lecture/discussion per week.

This seminar course provides a framework for Medical Assistant students to analyze their externship experiences and strengthen workplace readiness. Students will reflect on clinical and administrative responsibilities encountered at their clinical sites. They will discuss real-world applications of their training, explore professional expectations in healthcare settings, and develop strategies for effective communication, teamwork, and patient interaction.
