ASE 053 - Health Science ICAPS Support Model 2 (3)

summer, fall, spring

Lecture: 3 hours lecture/discussion per week.

ICAPS Health Science Support course will provide students basic skills attainment in math, language arts, social studies, and science; workforce preparation and employability skills; and transitions support for postsecondary and Fast Track  Sterile Processing or Dental Assistant certification programs.  This course will also provide English language acquisition vocabulary support and IELCE competencies under health science related employment skills.  Instructors will support students in the ICAPS workforce training who are enrolled in Sterile Processing and Dental Assistanct, and other Model 2 Health Science Certificate programs. Other workforce training elements include opportunities from employers and partner agencies, such as WIOA Youth, WIOA Adult, and KC Career Services to enhance job readiness and internship opportunities. Courses will be offered as in-person, hybrid, or synchronous online modes.  Repeatable three times
