Lecture: 1 hour of lecture/discussion per week. Studio: 5 studio hours a week

An introduction to the principles and practical classroom procedures in art for the elementary school teacher. This course includes such topics as art education theory, art terms, techniques, and various media, economical variations for commonly used materials, children’s creative work at various developmental stages, and organization of art programs in the classroom.
