Course Descriptions

The Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) is designed to facilitate the transfer of students from one Illinois institution to another. The Illinois Articulation Initiative/Illinois Baccalaureate Majors’ Recommendations (iTransfer Majors) describe courses typically taken by freshmen and sophomores for a specific major. These course recommendations are meant for students who are undecided about a transfer school. The recommended major courses are designated at the end of the appropriate course as follows: AG (Agriculture); BIO (Biological Science); BUS (Business); CHM (Chemistry); CS (Computer Science); CRJ (Criminal Justice); EGR (Engineering); EGL (English); HST (History); MC (Media and Communication Arts); MTH (Mathematics); PHY (Physics); PLS (Political Science); PSY (Psychology); SOC (Sociology) and TA (Theatre Arts).
